Installing the iOS version into OruxMaps

PURCHASE AND DOWNLOAD MAP

After you have purchased the Android / iOS version, you click the DOWNLOAD button to download a ZIP file.

When you click the DOWNLOAD button it may ask for approval, press DOWNLOAD in the dialog and it may take a minute or two to download as the size is quite large:

When that is done, you need to launch the "Files" app on your phone and open the "Downloads" folder:

You should find a zip file like this one:

To expand the files from the zip file, you only need to press once the zip file. You will soon see a new folder:

Press the folder once to see it's content. You should see another 3 folders within that folder:

INSTALLING THE MAPS

We will start putting the MAP files into correct location, so open the "MAPS.." folder first:

You need to select all 6 files at once, by pressing the blue circular button on top right and press "Select". Now you can click each file to mark them (select them). After that press the same circular button on the bottom right now and select "Copy 6 items".

Now go back to the main screen in the "Files" app by pressing the "<" button until you arrive at the main screen where you can press "on My iPhone":

After that find the "OruxMaps" folder and in that open the "maps" folder. When in the "maps" folder, long press and empty space in the folder and select "Paste":

That's it for the map files.

INSTALLING HILLSHADE FILES

Note: If you also purchased the HD Hillshade package then skip this section.

We again go back into the downloaded folder:

Open the "HILLSHADE..." folder and doing the same principal as we did with the maps, we select all the HGT files, copy them and go to the "OruxMaps" folder and in the "DEM sub folder and we paste all the files there.

INSTALLING OVERLAY FILES

This is purely optional. Just like before we copy the 3 files from the "OVERLAYS..." folder and copy them into the "overlays" folder.

Now you are done with installing required files.
